About The Position

The Tommy and Victoria Baker School of Business at The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Finance at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level, beginning Fall 2027. The Baker School of Business seeks outstanding teacher-scholars in finance. Candidates with expertise in investments, portfolio management, and security analysis will have the opportunity to engage students directly in managing the Student-Managed Investment Fund (SMIF), a $2.5 million portfolio that provides hands-on experience in professional asset management. Candidates with interests in financial planning, wealth management, and financial management will contribute to curriculum development aligned with the CFA Institute and CFP Board, preparing students for leadership roles in personal financial planning, corporate finance, and related fields.

Requirements

• Hold a Ph.D. in Finance from an AACSB-accredited institution (ABD considered for assistant professors if completion will occur prior to employment).
• Demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service.

• A record of or strong potential for publishing in peer-reviewed journals.

Responsibilities
