The Department of Chemical & Materials Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Alberta is seeking applications for up to two full-time, tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank in Energy Materials. These positions are part of the University of Alberta’s priority to build a diverse faculty in strategic research areas. We welcome applications from scholars with research expertise in energy-related materials and/or processes for energy production, conversion, storage, transport, and utilization. All research related to experimental and/or computational aspects of energy materials is of interest, including materials design and processing, validated artificial intelligence and models at the mesoscale and systems scale. The areas of application are infrastructure for fossil fuels (gas/oil), hydrogen, greenhouse gas mitigation (e.g., CO2), renewable energy, nuclear, defence, dual-use applications, and other related advanced materials.
