About The Position
The Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the tenure track. Expertise is required in the specific area of mechanisms underpinning substance use and the treatment of substance use and misuse. Applicants with experience in novel therapeutics (e.g., psychedelics, incretin mimetics) in the treatment of substance use disorders are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- M.D. or Ph.D degree
- Board certification in Psychiatry
- Expertise in mechanisms underpinning substance use and the treatment of substance use and misuse

- Experience in novel therapeutics (e.g., psychedelics, incretin mimetics) in the treatment of substance use disorders
Responsibilities
- Teaching medical students, psychiatry residents, and postdoctoral fellows
- Lecture opportunities within the department
- Clinical evaluation and provision of treatment for adults with substance use disorders
- Developing collaborative and independent research programs related to the understanding and treatment of substance use disorders
- Developing and maintaining a program of federally funded research
