About The Position

The Branch Manager, Investment Management leads a team of investment professionals while driving business growth, operational excellence, and an exceptional client experience. This role is accountable for executing the branch business strategy, managing risk and financial performance, and developing talent, while ensuring compliance with regulatory and TD Wealth standards. The Branch Manager partners closely with internal and external stakeholders to grow market share and deliver strong client outcomes.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate university degree required.
  • Registered with CIRO as a Registered Representative and Supervisor (including Options & Derivatives Supervisor and/or Portfolio Manager).
  • Life Insurance License (LLQP) required.
  • 10+ years of sales leadership experience.
  • Proven ability to lead large, complex teams and manage significant operational and regulatory risk.
  • Strong business planning, financial management, and strategic execution capabilities.
  • Demonstrated relationship building, coaching, and inclusive leadership skills.
  • Deep understanding of investment products, regulatory requirements, and wealth management practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the annual branch business plan, including oversight of individual Investment Advisor business plans.
  • Assess client needs, resolve complex client issues, and ensure effective referrals across TD business partners.
  • Build and maintain strong referral relationships with TD Canada Trust, TD Wealth Partners, and external partners.
  • Plan, execute, and evaluate marketing and business development activities to drive growth and market share.
  • Manage branch budget, revenue, and expenditures to meet business objectives and improve efficiency.
  • Deliver national and branch Challenge Goals and key performance targets.
  • Identify business opportunities, develop strategies, and lead execution aligned with enterprise priorities.
  • Maintain a strong culture of risk management, compliance, and adherence to regulatory and TD Codes of Conduct.
  • Recruit, lead, coach, and develop a high performing, diverse team; set objectives, manage performance, and support career development.
  • Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership, contributing to long term planning and operational strategy.
