About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Behavior Specialist/Registered Behavior Technician interested in a full time position as a Professional Substitute Behavior Specialist in our school programs. Must be willing to commute throughout Monterey County, school locations varying anywhere between Soledad to Carmel, CA. Daily assignments supporting contracted students as a 1:1 substitute. TUCCi was founded by Vicci Tucci, a pioneering BCBA, who witnessed the maltreatment of patients when growing up across the street from a state hospital in the 1970s. This formed her life goal to create a non-coercive model of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) called the Competent Learner Model (CLM), which has been developed over the past 40 years. This evidence-based, peer-reviewed curriculum is designed to be easily accessible to parents, educators, and clinicians. The CLM provides a framework for Behavior Analysts to develop successful skill acquisition and behavior replacement programs to improve quality of life for our learners and for them to gain increased access to their community, school, and home lives. As a Behavior Technician, you will work directly with a supervisor and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will deliver behavioral therapy to individuals with Autism and related developmental needs working in both home and/or school settings. Skills worked on will include: communication, social skills, academics, play development, behavior management and self help skills. Requirements

Must have a desire to work with individuals with Autism or other developmental needs.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with children and /or adults in the school, home and/or community settings.
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or related field
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in good standing or willing to complete RBT certification within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

Work with learners implementing behavioral and instructional ABA based programs as designed by the BCBA in a school, home or community setting.
Collect data as directed by your team's BCBA.
Follow behavior and skill acquisition plans in a playful yet professional manner as directed by your team’s BCBA.
Promote client dignity and safety at all times.
Communicate effectively with team members in an acceptable time frame.
Attend regular team meetings and CLM coaching sessions.
Drive self to multiple work sites during the work day.
