About The Position

UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics is hiring a Limited Casual Professional Staff Nurse to support the office in Monroeville. Weekend and evening availability is required to support the hours of operation, which are 4:30 PM - 9 PM Monday-Friday and 9:30 AM - 6 PM Saturday-Sunday. The role involves participating in quality improvement efforts, using evidence-based practices, building positive relationships, applying critical thinking in patient care, teaching patients and families, formulating care plans, communicating effectively, documenting patient care, engaging in professional development, and adapting to change while maintaining work-life balance.

Requirements

• Knowledge and skills for age-specific patient care.
• Current RN licensure or Temporary Practice Permit (TPP).
• BLS or CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Current RN licensure in the state or multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Graduate nurses must complete licensure examination within six months of hire.
• Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, Act 73.
• Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
