About The Position

UPMC Northwest Hospital is seeking a Flex Full Time Professional Staff Nurse for the Intermediate Care/Telemetry (2 North) department. This role involves rotating day and night shifts, as well as rotating weekend and holiday assignments. The nurse will build positive working relationships, educate patients and families, deliver care using the nursing process within a Relationship-Based Care model, and engage in professional development and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • RN experience preferred.
  • Ability to build positive, collaborative relationships with leaders, providers, staff, patients, and families.
  • Effective in fast‑paced, complex environments with shifting priorities and specialized equipment.
  • Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to lead and support others in applying the nursing process.
  • Physical capability for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and patient positioning; requires mobility and visual/manual dexterity.
