About The Position

This role is for a Professional Staff Nurse in the UPMC Presbyterian Emergency Department, a 44-bed unit that treats a wide range of conditions from heart attacks and strokes to minor illnesses. The department offers 24/7 services with on-site lab and imaging for fast diagnostics and emphasizes patient and family-centered care. The schedule involves rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• 1 year of inpatient nursing experience required
• RN license or Temporary Practice Permit
• BLS/CPR (AHA standard) within 30 days
• ACLS certification
• Act 34 Criminal Clearance
• Licensure exam within 4 months of hire

Nice To Haves

• Previous nursing experience in acute or emergency care is highly preferred.
• BSN preferred
• UPMC student internship or clinical transitions course preferred.
• emergency department experience preferred
