About The Position

This full-time position with the Department of Psychiatry provides skilled support for treatment studies. This position is responsible for recruitment, interviewing, and data collection both on and off campus, and for managing the relationships necessary to do so.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
  • Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire date.
  • Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).
  • Class E License (MO) or Class D License (IL).
  • A driver's license and good driving record are required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Participant recruitment including community outreach and prescreening.
  • Scheduling and coordinating study visits per protocol.
  • Administers and scores cognitive testing per study protocol.
  • Administers ratings scales to research participants enrolled in study per protocol.
  • Maintain appropriate recordkeeping and organization of many types of information and data, including data entry.
  • Build, negotiate and maintain professional relationships with a broad range of people including individuals with mental illness and older adults, medical professionals, and study personnel.
  • Manage relationships with participants and their families to promote recruitment and ensure adherence to study protocol.
  • Negotiate and problem-solve difficulties that may arise.
  • Will function as a key liaison in this role with support from the PI and study coordinator.
  • Engage in ongoing, proactive, and effective communication with multidisciplinary research staff regarding treatment fidelity, treatment contamination, recruitment and participation issues, and site issues.
  • This includes participating in weekly meetings.
