About The Position

The Professional Practice Lead provides mentorship, coaching, and guidance to Family Coaches and Community Engagement Facilitators to support effective, family-centered service delivery. Working within an interdisciplinary team, the role supports staff development, program implementation, and service quality while assisting the Community Support Manager with program operations and evaluation. The Professional Practice Lead ensures services are delivered in alignment with case management principles and e4c’s mission, vision, values, and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work
  • Current registration and good standing with the Alberta College of Social Workers
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and vehicle
  • Proof of vehicle insurance, registration and 3-year drivers abstract.
  • Childcare First Aid and CPR
  • 5+ years of social work or related experience
  • 3+ years of experience providing coaching, mentorship, staff leadership, and support for program development and continuous improvement.
  • 3+ years of experience working with preschool-aged children.
  • Experience supporting children and families from diverse social, economic, and cultural backgrounds, with knowledge of resiliency-focused, trauma-informed, and solution-focused practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems, with experience fostering collaborative team environments and providing reflective supervision

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional practice leadership, coaching, and mentorship to Family Coaches, Community Engagement Facilitators, students, and volunteers.
  • Facilitate Communities of Practice to support case management, documentation standards, ethical practice, and continuous learning.
  • Support staff development through training, performance coaching, reflective practice, and guidance on complex family support situations.
  • Lead debriefing and follow-up related to critical incidents, crises, and participant safety concerns in collaboration with leadership.
  • Collaborate with management to develop, implement, and enhance family support frameworks, practices, and service delivery models.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with community stakeholders, agencies, and resources to strengthen program capacity and participant outcomes.
  • Support program administration through assessments, evaluations, reporting, staff onboarding, and monitoring adherence to professional standards and organizational policies.
