About The Position

Lago Vista Animal Clinic is seeking an experienced Pet Groomer to join their veterinary support team. This is a full-service practice that offers professional grooming services alongside comprehensive medical care. The clinic has a dedicated, state-of-the-art grooming facility where groomers can manage their services, build client relationships, and collaborate with a supportive veterinary team. This role is ideal for a skilled and motivated groomer who prefers to work independently within a collaborative hospital setting.

Requirements

Professional pet grooming experience working with a variety of dog breeds and coat types
Knowledge of breed-specific grooming standards
Ability to safely handle pets of varying sizes and temperaments
Strong customer service and communication skills
Portfolio and references required

Nice To Haves

Grooming certification is a plus

Responsibilities

Perform full grooming services including bathing, drying, haircuts/styling, brush-outs, nail trims, de-matting, ear cleaning, and gland expression
Evaluate each pet’s coat and skin condition and communicate grooming recommendations to pet owners
Engage with clients to understand grooming preferences and expectations
Safely handle pets of various sizes and temperaments during grooming procedures
Maintain a clean, organized grooming area throughout the day and at the end of each shift
