About The Position
Spot On Veterinary is expanding its grooming services at its Westport location and is seeking an experienced dog groomer. This is a busy, established practice with a steady client base and a consistent flow of grooming work. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable, take pride in their work, and be able to deliver high-quality grooms in a professional setting. This is not an entry-level role, and prior professional grooming experience is required.
Requirements
- Prior professional grooming experience (1+ year preferred, strong work may offset experience)
- Solid grooming skills and consistency across different coat types and breeds
- Good judgment with handling dogs safely and professionally
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work in a busy environment without cutting corners
Responsibilities
- Full-service grooming for dogs (bath, haircut, nails, styling, etc.)
- Keeping your workspace clean, organized, and safe
- Communicating clearly with staff about dogs, grooming needs, and client expectations
- Maintaining a calm, low-stress experience for pets while still working efficiently
