About The Position

The EHS Life Safety System (LSS) Professional oversees the end-to-end implementation, verification, and compliance of critical life safety infrastructure for Samsung’s advanced semiconductor manufacturing facility in Taylor, Texas. This role specifically drives the field installation, integration, and sign-off of site-wide emergency safety showers, eyewash stations, and Toxic Gas Monitoring Systems (TGMS) across the Fab, Cleanroom, and Central Utility Building (CUB) spaces. Acting as the primary technical bridge between design engineers, general contractors, and trade subs, the role ensures that high-risk chemical and gas distribution environments adhere to stringent EHS standards, SEMI S2/S8 guidelines, OSHA mandates, and local building codes. Key responsibilities include managing equipment installation schedules, performing comprehensive hazard evaluations, validating hardware/software interlocks, and guaranteeing continuous operational readiness for immediate emergency response. Beyond physical deployment, this position leads cross-functional testing protocols and commissioning workflows to safeguard site personnel against hazardous chemical exposures and toxic gas events. The EHS LSS Professional manages the end-to-end EHS equipment sign-off process, executing factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and field validation of TGMS sensor matrix alarms, shut-off valves, and emergency shower flow-monitoring triggers. Additionally, the role is responsible for driving sub-contractor safety accountability, auditing installation practices during construction phases, and establishing long-term preventive maintenance and calibration management systems. By maintaining continuous alignment with plant operations and municipal emergency services, the role ensures seamless facility sign-offs, facilitating a safe ramp-up toward high-volume semiconductor production.
