About The Position
Kaufman Dolowich is seeking an experienced Partner to lead and grow its Professional Liability (E&O) practice in the Woodbury, Long Island market. This role is ideal for a client-focused attorney with strong leadership skills, deep professional liability defense experience, and a demonstrated ability to develop business and manage complex matters. Requirements
- JD and admission to the New York Bar in good standing
- 10+ years of professional liability defense experience
- Strong litigation, leadership, client management, and business development skills
Nice To Haves
- Established book of business in the Long Island or NY metropolitan market preferred
- Experience representing insurers and/or insured professionals preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead and expand the Professional Liability practice in the Long Island office
- Handle complex E&O defense matters through all phases of litigation
- Develop and maintain relationships with insurers, insured professionals, brokers, and clients
- Mentor and supervise associates and staff
- Drive business development, marketing, and cross-selling initiatives
- Collaborate with firm leadership and related practice groups on strategic growth opportunities
