Join a litigation team where collaboration matters, mentorship is intentional, and your growth as an attorney is a firm-wide priority. Marshall Dennehey, P.C., a nationally recognized Am Law 200 civil defense law firm with more than 60 years of dedicated service, is seeking an Architects and Engineer Errors & Omissions / Construction Defect Attorney (“A&E/CD”) with 2 to 5 years of experience. This position can be based out of our New York City, Westchester, or Melville, NY office. Specifically, we are seeking candidates who have experience representing design professionals, developers, and contractors in complex construction defect property cases. Preferably candidates for this position will have a proven trial track record, and experience at the state and federal level. Candidates should have excellent organizational skills and be able to manage a caseload independently with appropriate support. We are extremely proud of our sophisticated A&E/CD practice, and our attorney's abilities not only to try cases, but leverage their experience and reputation to achieve excellent results and reach creative resolutions for our clients and their insurers. The A&E/CD practice group is team-work based and client focused with the opportunity for client interaction and practice growth. At Marshall Dennehey, we invest in our attorneys. While you are not expected to independently manage cases from inception through trial on day one, you will work closely with experienced shareholders and associates who are committed to mentoring and skill development. Through hands-on experience, continuous feedback, and individualized goal-setting, you will gain the confidence and capability to grow into full case management at your own pace. Strong analytical thinking, legal writing, research, and communication skills are highly valued—and continuously refined—within our litigation groups. We pride ourselves on a diverse, inclusive, and open-door culture where ideas are welcomed, collaboration is encouraged, and attorneys at all levels have direct access to leadership. Our attorneys thrive because they are supported. Marshall Dennehey seeks attorneys who are looking for a true “forever home.” We value steady career growth, internal advancement, and attorneys who want to build lasting professional relationships—while helping others succeed along the way.
