About The Position
Forefront Surveying + Engineering is seeking a licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to join our team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who brings strong technical expertise and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work while collaborating with a dedicated survey team. The ideal candidate will have experience in conventional surveying, digital terrain modeling, reality modeling, GPS processing, 3D data collection and processing, ALTA/NSPS surveys, topographic surveys, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
Requirements
- Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Indiana (required)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office
- Comprehensive knowledge of ALTA/NSPS, boundary, topographic, and construction surveying
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality work
Nice To Haves
- Ohio and/or Kentucky licensure (or ability to obtain) is a strong plus
- Experience in conventional surveying
- Experience in digital terrain modeling
- Experience in reality modeling
- Experience in GPS processing
- Experience in 3D data collection and processing
- Experience in ALTA/NSPS surveys
- Experience in topographic surveys
- Experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
Responsibilities
- Perform and manage land surveying tasks for civil development and construction projects
- Collaborate with field crews and office technicians to deliver accurate and timely results
- Review and certify survey work, including plats, legal descriptions, and mapping deliverables
- Process and analyze field data using industry-standard software
- Support project teams to ensure work is completed on time, within scope, and to Forefront quality standards
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external clients
- Ensure all work meets applicable regulations and company expectations
