Requirements

High School Diploma and graduation from an accredited, state approved Medical/Dental billing Program
1 year experience in Medical/dental billing including Medicare and Medicaid or combination of relevant experience and education.

Responsibilities

Input data using a computerized billing information system including out of office encounters and bills claims to third parties manually and electronically.
Prepare files for the processing of patient statements.
Post payments to accounts and re-bills claims as needed.
Verify accuracy and completeness of charges entered by clinic support staff.
Complete routine maintenance of the computer system including system backup and daily and monthly closing procedures.
Any other duties as assigned.
