About The Position

An outstanding, full-time opening has become available in the Southampton, PA area for an individual with 2-5 years’ experience as a Professional Geologist or Hydrogeologist with a background in Environmental Regulatory Compliance and various types of Waste Management, Storm Water, Coastal Area Management, Land Use, Recycling, etc. This position would earn a generous base salary and a loaded benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401K w/ matching, Short/Long Term Disability, PTO and other outstanding perks. Requirements

  • 2-5 years of Environmental/Waste Remediation experience in public or private sectors for various environmental and technical disciplines within Waste Management (i.e., Solids, Recycled, Hazardous, Medical waste).
  • Up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations including New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) [ i.e., SRRA/LSRP, ARRCS, TRSR, etc.] , Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and other entities, in addition to any applicable OSHA regulations is a MUST.
  • Experience with Environmental Site Assessments including conducting facility environmental audits , remedial site investigations of past discharges , etc., and proposing remediation plans/methods is a MUST.
  • Demonstrated experience Managing projects, RFP/RFQ’s, budget, scope, change orders, and collections is a MUST.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Earth/Environmental Sciences, Physics, Engineering or related is a MUST.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Geologist (P.G.) License is HIGHLY PREFERRED (EIT Is also considerable)
  • Licensed Site Remediation Professional licensure is PREFERRED

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, evaluate, and oversee remedial and environmental site investigation; propose remediation plans and methods.
  • Evaluate inorganic/organic chemical fate and transport of contaminants in soil and groundwater media.
  • Lead investigations of past discharges of wastes and hazardous substances at remedial investigation sites.
  • Respond to releases of oil and hazardous materials, provide site assessments and oversight services including Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessment according to ASTM standards.
  • Lead hydrogeologic characterization in overburden and bedrock geologic environments including interpretation of data/results.
  • Design and implement aquifer hydraulic tests (slug tests, pumping tests, etc.)
  • Manage projects, budget, scope, change orders, and collections.
