About The Position

Martin/Martin Wyoming, Inc. is looking for an experienced civil engineer to join our Cheyenne, Wyoming office. The position will provide opportunities to work on projects in a variety of markets which include but are not limited to civil design, site design, drainage design, water quality design, transportation design and other disciplines, as required. The Professional Engineer should posse’s good judgment in evaluation, selection, and implementation of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. Requirements

  • Registered Professional Engineer.
  • BS plus a minimum of four years (or MS with a minimum of 3 years) of progressive civil engineering experience.
  • Must be eligible to work for any employer in the United States, without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Ability to work in the Cheyenne, Wyoming area.

Responsibilities

  • Completes design calculations for project components.
  • Provides quality-control check of work produced.
  • Coordinates structural design with work of other disciplines.
  • Provides project construction administration support including shop drawing review, responses to Requests for Information (RFIs), and field observations.
  • Familiarizes self with products and construction procedures.
  • Provides field observation during construction.
  • Attends technical training seminars when opportunity is provided.
  • Works collaboratively with staff at Martin/Martin, Inc.
  • Works overtime, when necessary.
  • Communicates effectively with clients, other team consultants, and contractors.
  • Serves as a mentor and resource for less experienced staff regarding design techniques, software, and code questions.
  • Assists Project Manager in the development and implementation of project specific QA/QC plans.
  • When requested, assists the Project Manager with monitoring design budgets and project schedules.
  • Develops rapport with Review Agency staff.
  • Prepares estimates of probable construction costs.
