About The Position

The Professional Education Manager within the Interventional and Surgery platform is responsible for developing and managing educational programs aimed at healthcare professionals to ensure effective utilization of products and adherence to industry standards. This role focuses on the planning and execution of educational programs at the national and regional levels for all healthcare professional learners (beginning, intermediate, advanced, specialized).

Requirements

  • BA/BS required.
  • 4 or more successful years of sales or professional education experience within Abiomed OR >7 years of related industry sales experience with proven track record of success
  • Must be able to travel overnight extensively, including overnight and weekend stays to conduct training sessions and attend industry events (50%)
  • Ability to use PC's and associated software.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with experience in delivering presentations and training sessions to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in analyzing data to evaluate program effectiveness and inform strategic decisions.
  • Mastery of cardiac anatomy and clinical data.

Nice To Haves

  • MBS or MBA preferred.
  • Excel, power point and graphic design skills a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute comprehensive training programs for healthcare providers, sales teams, and internal staff, ensuring alignment with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, medical office, physician program directors and R&D, to develop educational content that supports product launches and ongoing education initiatives.
  • Oversee the creation of training materials, such as presentations, videos, and manuals, ensuring they are up-to-date and effectively address the needs of the target audience.
  • Develop and implement metrics to assess the effectiveness of educational programs, making data-driven decisions to enhance content and delivery methods.
  • Ensure all educational activities comply with industry regulations and company policies, maintaining high standards of quality and ethics.
