About The Position

Catapult Learning provides educational solutions that generate academic achievement and better life outcomes for students. This Professional Development Specialist role is a per diem position, meaning minimum hours are not guaranteed and schedules vary based on individual school needs. The position begins in the current school year 2026-2027. The role requires skills in elementary, middle/high school experience, and background in math/science/STEM and ELA. The Professional Development Specialist will equip teachers and school leaders with lifelong learning experiences by building their skills in key instructional areas such as literacy, math, STEM, technology implementation, and blended learning. The impact of this role will be felt by countless students as their teachers and school leaders are better equipped to deliver on promises to students. With Catapult Learning's resources and ongoing support, the specialist can create a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment that fosters student growth and development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience teaching math, literacy, science or other relevant curriculum.
  • 5 years of experience delivering professional development workshops to adult educators.
  • 5 years of experience coaching teachers and/or school leaders either cognitively, instructionally or within a specific content-area focus in mind.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office experience.

Responsibilities

  • Host dynamic and collaborative planning conferences that unleash the creative potential of educators.
  • Coach, train, and mentor teachers individually/one-on-one.
  • Craft creative example lessons that captivate students.
  • Lead interactive professional development workshops when needed.
  • Research and demonstrate instructional strategies.
  • Foster a culture of active participation and vibrant open discussions.
  • Ensure all educator development is completed successfully.
  • Provide report documentation as required.
  • Communicate actively with directors regarding activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
