Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in nursing, education, or relevant field.
  • 2 years of relevant clinical experience
  • 1 year of education/training experiences.
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access)
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles
  • Ability to learn new knowledge quickly.
  • Ability to work with individuals from different disciplines and different levels of training.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic environment.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
  • RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of academic or staff development teaching experience.
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Instructor - State of Pennsylvania within 1 Year
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania within 1 Year

Responsibilities

  • Conducts centralized orientation programming for all levels of clinical personnel.
  • Serves as an educational consultant for leadership and staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, regulatory compliance, professional development, and other assigned committee work.
  • Assists in the development of newly licensed registered nurses' transition to practice by engaging in the Nurse Residency Program as a Tales from the Bedside facilitator, EBP Project facilitator, NRP faculty, and writer for accreditation.
  • Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates educational programs and utilizes methods, measurements, and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals.
  • Utilizes learner evaluation data, stakeholder feedback, and peer input to improve learning outcomes.
  • Conducts and analyzes formal and informal learning needs with leadership and staff; develops and implements revisions as necessary.
  • Maintains accurate educational records in accordance with hospital and departmental policies.
