About The Position

Catapult Learning is seeking a Professional Development Specialist to provide educational solutions that generate academic achievement and better life outcomes for students. This per diem position involves equipping teachers and school leaders with lifelong learning experiences by building their skills in key instructional areas such as literacy, math, STEM, technology implementation, and blended learning. The role aims to enhance educators' abilities to foster student growth and development in a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in education or related field (master’s degree preferred).
Experience teaching math, literacy, science or other relevant curriculum.
Valid Florida teaching certificate required.
5 years of experience delivering professional development workshops to adult educators.
5 years of experience coaching teachers and/or school leaders either cognitively, instructionally or within a specific content-area focus in mind.
Excellent communication skills.
Microsoft Office experience.

Nice To Haves

Skills needed in elementary school experience, middle/high school experience, math/science/STEM and ELA background.

Responsibilities

Host dynamic and collaborative planning conferences that unleash the creative potential of educators.
Coach, train, and mentor teachers individually/one-on-one.
Craft creative example lessons that captivate students.
Lead interactive professional development workshops when needed.
Research and demonstrate instructional strategies.
Foster a culture of active participation and vibrant open discussions.
Ensure all educator development is completed successfully.
Provide report documentation as required.
Communicate actively with directors regarding activities.
Other duties as assigned.
