About The Position

Emplify Health by Gundersen is looking for a Professional Development Nurse (PDN) for Infusion Services and the Cancer Center. A Professional Development Nurse (Nurse Educator) supports the growth of nurses and other healthcare staff by identifying learning needs, evaluating practice gaps, and helping strengthen clinical practice. They also serve as a mentor, facilitator of learning, and change agent while partnering on process improvement and practice transitions. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required
• Master’s degree in nursing required within 5 years
• 1-2 years Oncology or Infusion RN experience or equivalent required
• RN licensure to practice in the state of Wisconsin and Minnesota upon hire

Nice To Haves

• Ambulatory Care RN experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Evaluate nursing practice, assess practice gaps, identify learning needs, participate in process improvement projects and initiatives both within area of responsibility and at the system level
• Facilitates professional role development and growth of nurses and other healthcare personnel along the continuum from novice to expert.
• Function as a change agent, mentor, facilitator of learning, leader, champion for scientific inquiry, partner for practice transitions, and advocate for the nursing professional development (NPD) specialty
• Support orientation and onboarding of new staff
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including but not limited to other professional development nurses, clinical nurse leader, clinical managers, pharmacists, research nurses, clinicians, quality nurses, informatics nurses, etc.
