About The Position

Sports medicine outreach duties include: Injury prevention, recognition, evaluation and assessment, immediate care, treatment, rehabilitation and reconditioning of the physically active under the supervision of physician. Outpatient clinical duties are performed through the direction of a physical therapist. Performs non-patient care tasks as directed by Rehab Program Manager, Administrative Coordinator or Director.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required from an accredited university in Athletic Training.
• Certified Athletic Trainer/National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATA BOC)
• Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure (KBML)
• BCLS required.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s Degree preferred in either Athletic Training or a related field from an accredited university.
• Minimum of two years previous experience preferred
• Skill competency level preferred
• Effective communication skills highly desirable.
