About The Position

This course aims to introduce students to the role of management accounting, which differs from financial accounting, in the decision-making process. Key topics include product and service costing, cost behavior, relevant costs, standard costs, budgeting, responsibility accounting, and cost allocation. These topics are approached from a management perspective to enable students to understand the techniques for analyzing and solving problems encountered by managers. The course will be delivered online (live synchronous). The mode of instruction may change for health or other reasons.

Requirements

  • Master's degree (preferably a doctorate) in accounting.
  • Recent professional experience in the course's subject area.
  • Proof of recent training in management accounting.
  • Teaching experience, ideally in the course's subject area.
  • Professional designation (CA, CMA, or CGA).

Responsibilities

  • Teach the course 'Comptabilité de gestion' (ADM2741A) during the Fall 2026 semester.
