About The Position

The Telfer School of Management is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor for the Fall 2026 semester to teach ADM4778A - Réseaux de communication d'affaires. This course covers fundamental networking elements, including data communication, Internet protocols, Internet applications, local and wide area networks, virtual private networks, wireless LANs, network security, network management, and emerging technologies and market trends. It also touches upon telecommunication equipment and service providers, their products and services, and the competitive telecommunications market environment. The course is scheduled to be taught in person on Mondays from 19:00 to 22:00. The University of Ottawa is committed to diversity, inclusion, and creating a barrier-free work environment.

Requirements

  • MBA or Master's degree (preferably a Ph.D.) in a field directly related to the course.
  • Demonstrated relevant and recent experience in the field.
  • Knowledge and experience with data transmission network technologies, including IP protocols, communication control protocols, the World Wide Web, email, and network security and management.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and applications in data transmission, market trends, telecommunication equipment and service providers, and their products and services.
  • Competence in French (language of instruction).

  • Doctorate degree.
  • Passive competence in a second language.
