Job Overview Responsible to carry out variety of tasks as directed related to the processing and packaging of our products, while adhering to all Health and Safety, Food Safety, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and other Company policies. Shift: Night (11 PM - 7 AM)

Requirements

  • Completion of high school diploma, or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail are required
  • Fine dexterity skills may be required for some product assembly tasks
  • Good communication skills, interpersonal skills and must be able to work in a team environment
  • Quick learner and ability to adapt to new skills and methods quickly and easily
  • Ability to stay focused on manual tasks for extended periods of time, requiring care and attention to avoid injury to self or others

Responsibilities

  • Performing various tasks including moving/loading/unloading trays from oven racks, operating on the twist line and other tasks that will be associated with the assembly or packaging of the product while ensuring good quality product is produced at all times.
  • Feeding product to the line and/or packaging, making boxes, applying tamper seals and/ or labels, packaging, loading/stacking product to skids, etc.
  • Perform manual loading, movement of boxes, pushing/pulling trays or racks along the production line or packaging area.
  • Preparation of baking pans for depositing, greasing, de-panning, and scraping.
  • Clean and maintain immediate work area throughout the shift.
  • Contribute as a team member by working closely with other team members to ensure product quality and output standards are maintained.
  • Perform the job responsibilities of a back-up Machine Operator for coverage purpose from time to time.
  • Follow company’s health and safety program, rules and procedures and work in compliance with health and safety-related legislation and codes.
  • Report all incidents, injuries, illnesses, and near misses to your Supervisor.
  • Use or wear safety equipment and personal protective equipment required by the company.
  • Report to supervisor any hazardous or unsafe conditions, absence or defects in equipment and any contravention of health and safety legislation.
  • Report food safety and food quality issues.
  • Ensures that policies and procedures related to food safety and food quality are followed at all times.
  • All other duties as assigned or required.
