About The Position

This role is responsible for monitoring the flow of products on a conveyor belt, stacking products for the wrapping machine, and operating and adjusting the wrapping machine to ensure efficient production. The Production Wrapper will also troubleshoot machinery, remove defective products, review production orders, perform minor maintenance, record production data, maintain a clean work area, and collaborate with other departments to meet production demands and quality standards. Additionally, they will report any food safety concerns to authorized personnel.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
  • Understanding of Safety, Food Safety (SQF), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Ability to work safely around moving equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Must be able to work overtime and on weekends as needed.
  • Being on your feet, walking around the facility, climbing stairs/ladders or kneeling for extended periods of time.
  • Performing consistent repetitive tasks.
  • Frequently lifting, pushing or carrying materials.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the flow of products on an average waist-high conveyor while stacking products in the correct quantities for further processing in the wrapping machine.
  • Monitor and adjust wrapping machine speed to ensure efficient production and continuous product flow.
  • Operate and maintain centerline settings to ensure product quality, efficiency, and production standards are met.
  • Troubleshoot wrapping machinery and production equipment to minimize downtime and support continuous operations.
  • Remove defective products from the production line.
  • Review production orders and wrap products according to production requirements.
  • Perform minor maintenance on wrapping equipment using hand tools.
  • Tally and record production information, including units wrapped, product size, weight, type, and line checks.
  • Maintain a clean work area using approved cleaning chemicals.
  • Collaborate with all departments to support production demand and maintain product quality standards.
  • Report food safety concerns to personnel authorized to initiate corrective action.
