About The Position

Chromalloy is a global engineering & solutions company and a leading provider of aftermarket parts, repairs, and solutions that safely & reliably extend the life of aircraft engines and gas turbines. We develop, manufacture and repair critical turbine components for a range of engine platforms, supporting the engines running the aerospace, energy and defense industries around the world. Chromalloy New York, a leader in the repair and coating of gas turbine components for the aerospace industry and heavy industrial turbines, is currently seeking Production Workers for 2nd Shift. As a Production Worker, you will need to be able to work in a fast paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work, and adhere to safe work practices. This is an hourly position with Local 475. Rate of pay is $21.56/hr with a 10% differential for 2nd shift. 2nd shift is Monday through Friday 3:00pm -11:00pm. MUST BE ABLE TO TRAIN ON 1ST SHIFT MON-FR 7am-3pm.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or equivalent required
• Must be fluent in English, (speaking, reading, writing)
• Mechanical background preferred
• Ability to use hand tools and gauges (previous experience preferred)
• US persons (U.S. citizen, U.S. naturalized citizen, U.S. permanent resident, holder of U.S. approved political asylee or refugee status) only
• Must be able to train on 1st shift Mon-Fri 7am-3pm

Responsibilities

• Use hand, power, and machine tools to facilitate the preparation, cleaning, and processes of molds, equipment, parts, assemblies, or machinery.
• Crosstrain on operations within multiple areas
• Regular attendance is an essential job function of this position
• Perform their job duties utilizing the required and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Full participation in safety training and the ability to understand and follow the directions identified in Job Safety Analysis (JSA), PPE Assessments, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and all Safety Procedures and Alerts
