The role of the Production Worker is to perform necessary functions in order to efficiently, safely, and correctly prepare and process raw material to prepare it for cooking or cut & package finished product in preparation for shipment to customer. This involves following daily production schedules, ensuring product conforms to specifications, and preventing rework. The role may require operating various machines and equipment, performing standard operating procedures, and completing necessary training. Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area, reporting accidents, and ensuring safety devices are functional are also key aspects of the position. Adherence to OSHA and company safety standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) is mandatory. Specific duties include adding ingredients to batches, moving meat using appropriate tools, loading meat racks, and maintaining accurate records for both raw material preparation and ready-to-eat product handling. For ready-to-eat products, this includes counting and placing packages, handling finished product for shipment, and preparing pallets for shipping.
