About The Position

TPI Staffing Service is looking for Production Workers for a local employer. This role involves performing tasks associated with the production of various products, including inspection, operation of machinery for grinding, forming, frying, or packaging, and moving products using power industrial trucks and hand pallet jacks. The position requires physical stamina, the ability to work in various conditions including refrigerated environments, and the capacity to lift over fifty pounds. Both temporary and permanent positions are available for 1st and 2nd shifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
• Possess strength, stamina and mobility to perform physical work in all conditions and with exposure to potentially hazardous conditions.
• Vision to read printed materials and a computer screen.
• Hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone or radio.
• Ability to stand or be on his/her feet for long periods on hard surfaces.
• Ability to perform continuous and repetitive motion, including lifting, pushing and pulling product and/or objects, as well as bending, twisting and reaching with the torso.
• Ability to lift product or objects that may weigh in excess of fifty pounds.
• Ability to work in refrigerated areas (40 degrees or less).
• Walking primarily on a level surface for periods throughout the day, in some cases up to 12 hours/shift.
• Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required.
• Proper lifting techniques required.
• May include lifting up to 50 pounds for finished cases, ingredients, or other items in conjunction with production operations.
• Exposure to manufacturing areas that will require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection.
