About The Position

We are seeking Production Workers to join our team in the Lake City, FL location. Champion Home Builders, Inc. is looking for enthusiastic, motivated, team players who are willing to learn a trade and grow within the company. Champion Home Builders in Lake City, FL has been working hard to develop and nurture a NEW Champion culture! This is a non-exempt position where under general supervision, you will work on the production line to build manufactured housing as part of a team, performing quality work safely, in a fast-moving and consistent manner.

Requirements

• Must have a strong work ethic
• Must have the ability to work quickly and methodically
• Must understand safety procedures
• Must have good teamwork skills
• Must have excellent attendance
• Must live the Champion Operating Principles
• Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to pass a 7 Panel Drug Screen.

Nice To Haves

• Any specialized construction/manufacturing experience is highly preferred and will be given priority consideration
• Previous experience in manufacturing/modular housing is desired.

Responsibilities

• Performs all manual labor in the area to which assigned.
• Keeps area neat and clean.
• Read and use a tape measure
• Read blueprints and orders
• Communicate well with coworkers
• Use hand tools, air tools, and electrical tools
• Be here every day, on time - attendance matters
• Willingness to help others and learn new skills
