About The Position
Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) is seeking a dependable Production Worker to join their sheet metal shop in Berryville, VA. This entry-level role supports daily production by preparing materials, operating basic shop equipment, and assisting team members with general production activities. Previous fabrication or welding experience is not required; the company is looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.
Requirements

- Willingness to learn new tools, equipment, and production processes

- Comfortable working with tools in an active shop environment
- Strong attention to safety and quality
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform physical work throughout the shift
- Ability to safely operate tools and handle production materials
- Ability to work in an active sheet metal shop environment

- Construction, warehouse, production, or manufacturing experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist with cutting, bending, and preparing materials for production
- Follow work orders, instructions, and established production procedures
- Support daily production goals and help keep work moving efficiently
- Assist experienced team members with general shop and fabrication tasks
- Inspect materials for visible defects or damage and report concerns promptly
- Operate basic shop equipment, hand tools, and power tools safely
- Follow all company safety policies and shop procedures
- Use required personal protective equipment
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of avoidable hazards
