About The Position

This is a temporary production worker position at the Holland Plant, which has been in operation since 1897 and employs over 300 people. The plant produces a variety of products including sweet relish, Grey Poupon mustard, yellow mustard, vinegar, pickle variations, and BBQ sauce. This is a union facility, represented by the Retail, Wholesale, and Department Store Union (RWDSU). The role is eligible for conversion to permanent status after three months based on performance, attendance, and training.

Requirements

Upon hire will train to become Lock Out Tag Out certified and maintain qualification.
Must successfully pass on the job training and maintain operator qualification.

Ability to work daily overtime as needed.
Ability to work Saturday and Sunday overtime days as needed.

Responsibilities

Work in a safe manner, following all general safety rules of the plant, including PPE requirements and escalating safety defects and concerns.
Assure that production meets or exceeds quality standards by following GMP requirements, inspecting materials, completing quality documentation, assisting in rework, and escalating quality defects.
Support production lines by assisting with start-up, shut-down, and changeover tasks, clearing jams, performing sanitation and housekeeping, troubleshooting equipment, and supplying/sorting/inspecting materials.
Support Kraft Heinz Management System (KHMS) at the operator level, participating in processes such as Shift Hand Offs Meetings, Level 1 Meetings, Performance Boards, Centerline Management (CLM), Clean to Inspect and Reapply Lubrication (CIL), 5S, Defect Handling, Start Up/Shut Down, Changeovers, and Daily Problem Handling.
Work with support departments to improve line performance.
Keep work area clean and orderly.
Perform any other duty as assigned by supervisor or lead person.
