The Production Worker in the Hand Assembly Department is responsible for breaking and separating die-cut strips and assembling them into partitions according to customer specifications. When hand assembly workload permits, the Production Worker supports machine operations by gathering, stacking, and preparing finished products for shipment. This position emphasizes safe work practices, quality, teamwork, and efficient product handling. The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks, but no mechanical skills are required.

Responsibilities

  • Break and separate die-cut strips and assemble partitions in accordance with customer specifications.
  • Catch finished products from slitters, slotters, and assemblers, then stack and prepare them in boxes or on pallets according to production standards.
  • Perform visual inspections to ensure products meet quality requirements and maintain accurate counts and orderly material handling.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe material handling practices.
  • Stand, bend, lift, and move materials throughout the shift while maintaining productivity.
  • Ensure products are assembled, handled, and packaged accurately to meet customer and company quality standards.
  • Perform other production-related duties as assigned to support departmental and plant production needs.
