About The Position

The Production Worker performs all general production activities involved in the manufacturing process. The starting time will be determined by the supervisor based on business needs. This role involves following established production standards, performing all functions of the manufacturing process, inspecting equipment for proper operation and safety, and adhering to operational procedures and paperwork completion. The worker must also follow GMPs, quality control, cleaning, and sanitation procedures, as well as all safety procedures. Key responsibilities include ensuring accurate production counts, operating equipment properly, reporting non-compliant products, assisting with clean-up and sanitation, and potentially assisting in other areas of the manufacturing plant. Attendance at company-supplied job-related classes or seminars is mandatory.

Requirements

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent skills by experience.
Must be able to read, interpret and understand written and oral directions.
Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies.
Must demonstrate basic math skills to calculate production yields and understand weights and measures.
Must be able to verbally communicate, understand, and write in the English language.
Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

Performs all functions of the manufacturing process following established production standards.
Inspects all equipment to assure proper operation and safety.
Follows operational procedures and completes required paperwork.
Follows GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices), quality control, cleaning and sanitation procedures.
Follows all safety procedures.
Ensures accurate counts on production are recorded.
Accountable for proper operation of equipment.
Reports any non-compliant, defective, or sub-standard product immediately to supervisor.
Assists with clean-up and sanitation responsibilities.
Assists in any other areas of the manufacturing plant when necessary.
Attends all job-related classes or seminars that are company supplied.
