While reporting to the production supervisor, you will be responsible for but not limited to working safely, attention to quality, supporting the machine operators by packaging product, driving fork truck, recycling cores and paper scrap, training for and filling in for machine operators. Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success.

Requirements

  • You must be reliable, have good initiative, committed to working safely and quality focused
  • You can easily lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
  • You will need to effectively work with a team in a fast-paced environment
  • You will need to read and understand manufacturing instructions
  • You will need to perform repetitive duties, including standing for long periods of time
  • You will need to have the ability to work quickly while maintaining a high level of craftmanship and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Previous forklift experience is beneficial
  • Experience working in an industrial / manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for safely and efficiently assisting machine tenders or others with the physical requirements of the assigned operations
  • Require operating small hand-type or less complicated equipment
  • Removing tubes from overhead dryer chain conveyor
  • Loading tubes on trucks and labeling them properly
  • Placing scrap on carts to be hauled away
  • Inspection and packing tubes
  • Other essential duties as assigned
