About The Position

Silver Spring Foods is seeking a collaborative team player to be an integral part of our fast-paced production team. In this role, you will take pride in your work and perform routine tasks with dedication to accuracy. Working side-by-side with other manufacturing team members, you’ll be part of the packaging and inspection team, ensuring products are packaged correctly and in a timely manner. You will have the opportunity to grow with the company by participating in the many training programs available. This position offers a positive, encouraging work culture with ample room for growth.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalency.
Ability to count and copy figures to reports and use scales.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb over obstacles, balance, grasp, reach, crouch, and sit.
Ability to move wrists, hands, and/or fingers to adjust machine parts and package finished goods.
Ability to perform physical work, exercising up to 60 lbs. of strength frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Must hear well enough to converse on telephone.
Must see well enough to read reports.
Must be able to distinguish colors.
Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English well enough to communicate effectively with supervisors and peers.
Must read and write English at High School level.
Must be able to communicate well verbally and in writing in English.

Nice To Haves

Prior work experience is a plus but not required.
1-3 years of previous assembly line or manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

Packaging product within product specifications, including checking for correct code dates and defective packaging materials.
Completing paperwork and documentation in an accurate, neat, and timely manner.
Following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Maintaining a clean and safe work area.
Demonstrating a positive attitude and consideration towards fellow employees while completing general labor duties.
Cooperating and communicating well with co-workers.
Striving to promote positive teamwork and build team spirit.
Familiarity with all aspects of line operations.
Adjusting machine parts and packaging finished goods.
Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects up to 60 lbs. frequently.
