About The Position

This is a unique opportunity to join a brand-new production line as its very first employee! You’ll help establish production standards, optimize processes, and conduct recipe testing on newly installed equipment to ensure quality, consistency, and scalability. Our ideal candidate is someone who enjoys hands-on problem solving, process improvement, and the excitement of shaping how a new manufacturing operation runs from day one. Lunds & Byerlys Mitchell Road is currently hiring for a self-directed and outgoing Production Worker I to create a sensational shopping experience for our customers! This position works a full-time schedule and earns a competitive wage of $26.00-$34.00/hr. We operate 24 hours/day and 365 days/year. For this position we are looking for someone with availability around the hours of 6:00am-4:00pm. This is a new role at our facility in Eden Prairie. In this opportunity you will have the chance to take part in testing out new manufacturing operations here in the twin cities.

Requirements

  • Manufacturing experience required
  • Ability to operate machinery, multi-task, interpret and follow precise instructions
  • Comply with USDA, FDA, OSHA, AIB and all other regulatory agencies while complying with good manufacturing practices

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients, raw materials, packaging supplies, and work areas for scheduled production runs.
  • Operate assigned processing and packaging equipment.
  • Follow recipes, batch sheets, product specifications, and production schedules for soups, dressings, and other food products.
  • Monitor product quality during processing and packaging and promptly report any food safety, quality, or equipment concerns to the supervisor.
  • Accurately complete required documentation, including production records, temperature checks, lot information, and other food safety or quality records.
  • Pack, label, stack, palletize, and move finished product in accordance with company standards and SOP’s
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, including cleaning equipment, utensils, floors, walls, and other surfaces as required.
  • Comply with all GMP, HACCP, food safety, sanitation, quality, and workplace safety requirements.
  • Work cooperatively with team members to meet daily production goals and support efficient plant operations.
