About The Position

Under general supervision, this role involves working on the production line to build manufactured housing as part of a team. The position requires performing quality work in a fast-moving and consistent manner. The Production Worker will be responsible for all manual labor in their assigned area, keeping the area neat and clean, reading and using a tape measure, reading blueprints and orders, communicating effectively with coworkers, and using various hand, air, and electrical tools. There may be a requirement to travel if needed to work on frames that are hauling homes.

Requirements

Mig/Arc Welding experience required
Some fabrication/design skills/experience required
Must have a strong work ethic
Must have the ability to work quickly and methodically
Must understand safety procedures
Must have good teamwork skills
Must live the Champion Operating Principles
Regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
Frequently required to walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Previous experience in manufacturing/modular housing preferred but not required
