GrizzlyTrek is seeking an experienced Production Well Testing Operator to join their valued client's team in Grande Prairie, Alberta. The client is an industry leader in surface well testing services across the Montney, Duvernay, and broader Western Canadian basin, with operations running through the Grande Prairie, Sylvan Lake, and Calgary corridors. This is a full-time permanent opportunity with year-round work, strong day rates, and Living Out Allowance. As a Production Well Testing Operator, the individual will be on location running flowback, production testing, plug drill-out, workover, and abandonment projects. Responsibilities include rigging in and rigging out separator packages, monitoring pressures and flow rates, collecting samples, and keeping accurate records across the full test cycle. The operator will work alongside supervisors and a dedicated crew, with opportunities to train on Multiphase Meter technology and advance toward supervisor tickets.

Requirements

  • Minimum two (2) years of hands-on experience as a Production Well Testing Operator, Flowback Operator, or equivalent field role
  • Current H2S Alive certification
  • Standard First Aid with CPR
  • Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or equivalent site-ready ticket
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and a clean driver's abstract
  • Strong understanding of well testing and flowback theory, pressure control, and separator operation
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing and any client-required site testing
  • Physically capable of handling a demanding field environment including lifting, climbing, and extended hours outdoors in all weather
  • Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently or as part of a crew
  • Willingness to work 12-hour day and night shifts on a field rotation schedule

Nice To Haves

  • Experience running Multiphase Meter technology or commingled flowback designs
  • Class 5 license
  • Coiled tubing or plug drill-out exposure
  • Prior experience on critical sour wells
  • Progress toward Well Testing Services Supervisor levels
  • Located in or near Grande Prairie, Sylvan Lake, or the Peace Region

Responsibilities

  • Operate production testing and flowback equipment safely within approved operating parameters on sweet and sour well sites
  • Rig in, rig out, and maintain surface well testing equipment including separators, line heaters, manifolds, tanks, and flare stacks
  • Monitor wellhead pressures, flow rates, temperatures, and sand content throughout flowback, plug drill-out, and extended production testing operations
  • Record accurate field data, complete tour sheets, and report production volumes and well performance to supervisors and clients
  • Collect fluid samples (oil, gas, water) and perform routine checks on equipment function and well conditions
  • Support plug drill-out operations with coiled tubing or jointed pipe, including real-time production tracking through Multiphase Meter technology
  • Complete pre-job and post-job equipment maintenance, inspections, and housekeeping on site and in the shop
  • Participate fully in safety meetings, hazard assessments, tailgates, and JSA procedures; wear required PPE at all times
  • Respond to call-out workovers, interventions, and abandonment projects on short notice
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors, clients, and third-party services to keep operations on schedule and on budget
