Production Welding Technician — Blueprint Fabrication

About The Position

Think in blueprints? Build with precision? If you enjoy translating drawings into durable metal products and take pride in clean, accurate welds, this role was made for you. You’ll contribute across diverse lines, running a variety of welds in multiple positions and ensuring each part meets strict quality and safety expectations. What will you do here? Operate an overhead crane to set parts and subassemblies in place before welding. Dial in the right machine settings for every job to achieve proper penetration and bead profile. Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions and finish work using grinders, wire wheels, and needle guns. Use measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances match the print. Interpret blueprints and follow both written and verbal work instructions. Fit, position, secure, and assemble components prior to welding. Shift between product lines and cross-train to support production needs. Keep a spotless, safe workstation and uphold 6S standards. Collaborate with teammates while also delivering independently. Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

Requirements

  • Comfort wearing a standard welding helmet for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet production demands.
  • Reliable, on-site presence.
  • Pass and maintain the Welder Qualification Test.
  • Maintain a keen eye for detail to consistently meet quality standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Welding certification from an accredited institution.
  • 1+ year of welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
