The Port Robinson, ON location is seeking to fill the role of a Production Welder to join the team. Please note that should union membership not already be held by the successful candidate, they will be required to become a member of the applicable Local prior to the commencement of work. Reporting to the Area Manager, the Production Welder is responsible for participation, completion, and maintenance of welding assignments in compliance with company quality policies, programs, and practices with respect to the various codes and standards on company construction projects.

Requirements

  • Experience with Gas-shielded Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW-G) and Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) / MIG welding on carbon and stainless steel materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Self-motivated, a can-do attitude, with a results-oriented disposition.
  • Enjoy working in a competitive team environment.
  • Open to constructive feedback or direction regarding welding techniques for the purpose of continuous improvement of skills.
  • Open to sharing lessons learned and experience gained during prior employment to help improve the E.S. Fox Limited weld program.
  • Willingness to learn and be trained to obtain new skills or welding process.

Nice To Haves

  • Post-secondary education is an asset, whether welding-related or otherwise.
  • Experience with Air carbon arc gouging.
  • Experience with Oxy fuel cutting processes.
  • Experience with Plasma arc cutting process.
  • Experience with Submerged arc welding (SAW) on carbon and stainless steel.
  • Experience with Weld automation such as burning bugs, booms, gantries etc.

Responsibilities

  • Weld joints in accordance with ASME and or CWB weld procedures under the direction of full oversite of E.S. Fox Limited's weld supervision.
  • Welding assignments may vary between primarily carbon or stainless steels using the welding processes and positions listed below.
  • Participate in job specific training relating to welding processes and techniques.
