This role involves performing standard operations specifically used in the welding process, including welding, braze and prep, post braze clean up, final clean up, labeling, cutting, and hardfacing. The position requires operating specified welding equipment to support manufacturing operations of parts and assemblies in a stringent quality-oriented environment. Employees are expected to maintain equipment, use lifting devices, overhead cranes, and material handling equipment. Good written and verbal communication skills, computer competency, blueprint reading, and knowledge of precision measuring instruments are necessary. Tasks include performing manufacturing math calculations and using specialized lifting equipment. Employees will perform their own work, assist others, and conduct post-work inspections, diligently following all safety procedures and adhering to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. The primary job function will be GMAW and GTAW welding on various material types including Inconel and High Chrome.

Requirements

  • Requires completion of high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience.
  • Ability to operate overhead crane and hand tools.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competent in the use of computers.
  • Ability to read blue prints, and drawings.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of precision measuring instruments.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of related experience and certification in welding or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs standard operations specifically used in the welding process.
  • Welding, braze and prep, post braze clean up, final clean up, labeling, cutting, and hardfacing.
  • Uses specified welding equipment to assist and support manufacturing operations of parts and assemblies.
  • Ensures that equipment is maintained timely and correctly, including the use of lifting devices, overhead cranes and material handling equipment.
  • Performs manufacturing math calculations, and use of specialized lifting equipment.
  • Performs own work, provides assistance to others as directed, and performs post-work inspection of work.
  • Perform welding assembly process in accordance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards and policies.
  • GMAW and GTAW welding and a variety of material types including Inconel and High Chrome.
