Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
  • Minimum of 3 years of general warehouse experience.
  • Reach truck and counterbalance forklift experience
  • Communicating: Conveying information to others in an effective manner. Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Active Learning: Understanding the implication of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Mathematics: Ability to solve simple equations; ability to use mathematics to solve problems.
  • Critical Thinking: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Coordination: Adjusting actions in relation to others’
  • Proficient PC (MS Office)
  • Teamwork: Ability to focus and work in a team oriented environment as a leader or follower
  • Units of Measure: Ability of understand different of units of measures (i.e. packs, feet, eaches, pieces, etc)
  • Microsoft Office, specifically Excel experience.

  • Experience with RF technology, high volume retail and/or automated distribution environment a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a working lead and peer resource by leading by example and providing day-to-day guidance, motivation, and training to warehouse associates without direct supervisory authority.
  • Communicate priorities established by the Production Manager and help the warehouse team coordinate activities to complete receiving and shipping requirements on time.
  • Observe daily warehouse workflow and assist teammates with resolving inventory, material-flow, and operational issues.
  • Pull and organize branch and customer orders by part number and quantity according to picking tickets and established priorities.
  • Assist with the batch and wave-planning process for outbound orders.
  • Schedule and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to support timely receiving and on-time order fulfillment.
  • Receive, verify, organize, and put away inbound purchase orders in the appropriate warehouse locations.
  • Investigate and resolve purchase order receiving issues, including shortages, overages, incorrect items, damaged material, and incomplete or inaccurate documentation.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, skids, platforms, and material-handling equipment.
  • Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, and other assigned material-handling equipment.
  • Audit outbound shipments for item, quantity, labeling, and documentation accuracy before release.
  • Prepare and process invoices, shipping documents, and other paperwork related to outbound shipments.
  • Perform inventory-control and stock-replenishment activities to maintain product availability and inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate bin locations by identifying and correcting mislabeled locations, misplaced inventory, duplicate locations, and inaccurate system records.
  • Conduct weekly cycle counts in accordance with the established cycle-count program and ensure counts are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Research inventory discrepancies identified through cycle counts, determine likely causes, and coordinate necessary inventory adjustments with management.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory branch transfer issues, including shortages, overages, incorrect items, receiving discrepancies, and transfers remaining open in the system.
  • Coordinate with purchasing, inventory control, receiving, shipping, and branch personnel to resolve inventory and transaction issues promptly.
  • Audit receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, and shipping processes to support inventory accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
  • Examine inventory for damage, wear, or defects and report identified concerns to management.
  • Monitor warehouse performance metrics and prepare operational data for management review.
  • Maintain warehouse supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
  • Encourage teammates to follow company safety, quality, productivity, and inventory-control standards and elevate unresolved concerns to the Production Manager.
  • Identify recurring inventory, process, or shipment issues and assist the Production Manager with corrective actions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
