About The Position

The Production Utility role is responsible for operating the labeling machine in the Packaging area, supporting warehouse activities for smooth operations, and performing assigned production work. This position requires the ability to operate the labeling machine, including changing ribbons/labels, making computer-based label description changes, and feeding the machine with units. The role also involves troubleshooting minor issues with the labeling machine or production, performing quality checks, and communicating any problems to the Production Manager. Additionally, the Production Utility will work collaboratively with others, pull production work orders, maintain SKU inventory, supply materials to the production floor, prepare finished goods for shipping, record and inspect final orders, assist with palletizing customer orders, assemble beverage variety packs, coordinate work schedules, follow work procedures, ensure OSHA regulation compliance, and perform other assigned production duties.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Some computer knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the labeling machine in the Packaging area.
  • Support activities in the warehouse to ensure smooth operations.
  • Perform assigned production work.
  • Fully operate labeling machine including changing ribbons/labels, making label description changes via the computer, and feeding the machine with appropriate units to be labeled.
  • Troubleshoot minor problems with labeling machine or production.
  • Perform quality checks of labels and products being produced.
  • Communicate any problems with the labeling machine and/or production to Production Manager.
  • Work with other individuals assigned to work on the machine or production floor.
  • Pull production work orders and maintain inventory levels of individual SKUs.
  • Provide material to the production floor.
  • Prepare shipping of finished goods.
  • Record and inspect final orders, prior to shipping.
  • Assist with palletizing weekly customer orders per requirements.
  • Assemble beverage variety packs per customer specifications.
  • Coordinate work schedule with Production Manager and/or Training Supervisor.
  • Follow work procedures as outlined by Training Supervisor and/or Production Manager.
  • Be responsible for OSHA regulations pertaining to the area and other workers.
  • Perform production work as assigned.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Director of Human Resources and Business Services.
