About The Position

As a part of the Hostess Plant Production Team, you will be responsible for several production bakery activities. You will be working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, communicating, and working effectively in a team environment. Roles and responsibilities will include Pan Setter, Feeder, Packer/Carton, Packer/Cases, Shipping Stacker, Handler, Sanitor, Receiver, Palletizer.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)-required
Ability to work night shift schedule.
Ability to rotate workdays throughout the week including weekends,
Proven track record of good attendance.
Capability to work well in a team environment and be willing to help solve problems and implement solutions.
Willingness to flow to the work to meet the needs of the business.

Nice To Haves

Previous safety training.
Excellent communication skills.
Prior food manufacturing experience and familiarity with bakery equipment.

Responsibilities

Works as a helper on a production line in various roles. (i.e., Helper, Indexer, Feeder, Packer, Catcher, etc.)
Perform various assigned manual labor tasks to: grasp, lift, move, place, and stack items relating to the production processes assigned.
Feed, catch and monitors continuous / repetitive steps on production line.
Support quality control programs and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) procedures
Visually inspect product to ensure procedures follow best practices for food safety and quality standards.
May assist with cleaning and sanitation of equipment and environment pre- and post-production.
Report all equipment issues to the supervisor as soon as possible.
Understands and complies with all safety procedures that apply to daily operations, example; follow proper lock out/tag out, wall prevention, required PPE, etc.
Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, coworkers, etc.
May perform other duties not listed.
