About The Position

This role is responsible for testing and troubleshooting microprocessor-based products to the component level with minimal guidance. The technician will provide technical support to engineering and manufacturing, and train junior department personnel in troubleshooting techniques. A key aspect of the role is to develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of SEL products and processes to ensure product quality and integrity, while also implementing department objectives under the direction of their supervisor. The position involves modeling, teaching, and applying SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Two-year degree in Industrial Electronic Technology or equivalent work experience
  • 2-5 years experience in electronic design, manufacturing, or testing
  • Knowledge of analog and digital electronics
  • Proficient technical writing, documentation, and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical, judgment, and organizational skill
  • Good technical training and presentation skills
  • Strong knowledge of computer applications such as Word, Excel, Access
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Background check results satisfactory to SEL
  • Negative drug test result(s)

  • Advanced computer program skills: Word, Excel, Access
  • Experience leading process improvement initiatives
