About The Position

Nemera is seeking a Production Trainer to join their team. This role involves "on the job" training for new employees on the production floor, transferring knowledge and know-how. The trainer will be responsible for welcoming new hires, managing training checklists, demonstrating tasks, explaining machine operation and troubleshooting, introducing documentation, providing training on quality and GMP, and ensuring safety procedures are followed. The trainer will also assess new employees, provide feedback, and share best practices with other trainers and HR.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience as an effective operator in Injection molding and/or assembly.
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
  • Completed specific training provided by the Quality and EHS departments.
  • Extensive knowledge of safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Complete knowledge of quality procedures and documentation applicable to production work posts.
  • Able to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand and walk 90% of shifts and from machines, buildings and/or clean rooms.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, grab, and climb.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome new production employees and temporary workers, introducing them to the work position and environment.
  • Manage Training Checklists for each new employee and collaborate with the Production Supervisor to assign Training Buddies.
  • Demonstrate how to successfully complete tasks according to product specifications and operating procedures using the Training Checklist.
  • Show and explain how to start-up, operate, and shut down machines, and what to do in case of equipment malfunction or accidents.
  • Introduce workstation documentation (e.g., Specifications and inspection Instructions, Lot Record Package) and ensure it is properly followed and completed.
  • Provide training on product quality, production of different samples, visual checks, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Prevent accidents by explaining workstation risks and standard responses to safety concerns or incidents.
  • Assess new employees at the end of their induction using the Training Checklist, provide feedback, and monitor them over time.
  • Share best practices and challenges identified during tutoring with other Tutors, Production Supervisor, Technical Production Trainer, and Human Resources.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
